ENVIRONMENTAL EMERGENCIES IN LOMBARDY REGION: FROM ORGANIZATION TO MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Lombardy is one of the first regions to have established a systematic collection of reports of environmental emergency man-made, about a range of very varied types. To deal with such requests, the Regional Agency for Environmental Protection of Lombardy – ARPA – has adopted a detailed Emergency Response System which, in addition to staffing, including the use of assistive technology.
