TEN YEARS OF APPLICATION OF THE IPPC DIRECTIVE IN THE PROVINCE OF VERONA: RESULTS AND FUTURE PROSPECTS

Abstract

The article aims to give a general description about the IPPC installations in the province of Verona at 31/12/2019, but above all to show the results of ten years of control activities carried out by the provincial ARPAV Department of Verona, focusing in particular on the main non-compliances and critical issues emerged in the environmental inspections and on the corrective actions required to overcome them, on the improvements due to the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control approach, but also on the limits of the current environmental law context and, finally, on emerging issues and problems.
